Artist's Commentseven as she sits alone, she wishes that her brother and sister were beside her to share in the moment, --- My Kisara entry for Darkie's Art Contest on gaia, Finished! :D can you believe it? I've had this lineart done since the middle of last summer and I only got around to coloring it two days before the due date. @.@ So, that officially makes this the most rushed piece i've ever worked on. :/ I worked on it for EIGHT hours STRAIGHT (while procrastinating on my homework, of course) with minimal breaks for dinner and such. so it's the first time i've worked on something so long without my attention being disrupted. :3 Some concerns of mine is how i shaded the skin (very indistinctively) and forgot to add in reflective lighting from the water.  The hair has rather vague shading and would've come out better if i had not waited till the last minute to work on it.BUT. I'm happy with the water~ it came out half-decent! I just used regular brushes and the lasso tool and it could pass for real-looking water in an alternate dimension somewhere! The rest of the background feels actually pretty lame, since there's just copypasted water (from the front layer) and no horizon, which kinda brings confusion to the angle. The original intention for this lineart was for Kisara to be sitting on the beach, enjoying the sunset, the ocean breeze, and the cool water on her feet. but instead she's on a random outcropping of sand, in the middle of the day, but still enjoying the water.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
